-The original 1960's switch bases are a 6mm rod with a 3mm screw to lock them in.

-These knobs are to suit OEM switch assemblies but you can find a cheap aftermarket switch assembly from NARVA if you look hard enough, the NARVA ones only suit the later model M5 thread and 4mm grub screw.
